Thankful

I've been MIA here for awhile. Lots going on, many adjustments to be made. I'm spending a lot more time back at my "journaling roots" at a more private site. It feels more supportive and is great to be posting there again.

We had a nice Thanksgiving although my kitty is very ill and has been at the Animal Hospital since Friday. We hope to pick him up tomorrow. Here were my 29 things I was thankful for this year:

In honor of this my 29th Thanksgiving, here are 29 things I am thankful for today:
1. My amazing husband who does 90% of the work around the house.
2. My house, while smaller than I may like, really is a cute little place.
3. My son, who has QUITE the great sense of humor
4. My job which provides for us both monetarily and in free medical benefits.
5. My parents who ALWAYS support us.
6. Erick's parents who spoil Xander (freeing up funds so we don't have to )
7. My laptop which provides hours of entertainment.
8. My education
9. My love of learning.
10. My camera.
11. My scraproom.
12. My hobby which provides me a creative outlet.
13. My luck in being published several times this year.
14. Ebay where I can sell my creations to create a little extra income.
15. My newfound clutter control gene.
16. The internet which connects me to friends and family and allows me to save time/energy/and gas money by shopping online.
17. Amazon.com which always has everything I need for at least $5 less.
18. "Black Fish" version 6.0 who has now surpassed the lives of all of our other goldfish combined at a whopping 3 weeks.
19. Erick's new job which is going to allow us some new opportunities.
20. Dave Ramsey who taught me some new money skills allowing us to pay off $10,000 worth of debt in the last two years and has us on a completely BALANCED budget.
21. America for electing Democrats to take majority of Congress.
22. Living in a FREE country.
23. All of those people risking and giving their lives in the name/spirit of that free country.
24. Our awesome and super flexible daycare provider who even invited Xander and I to Thanksgiving dinner when she thought E had to work.
25. The awesome vacation time my job provides.
26. I am thankful that I am finished shopping and do not have to brave the crowds tomorrow.
27. Our health
28. My kitties.
29. Plenty of food for our Thanksgiving table and plenty of love to go around.

TODAY

is going to be a day or unbridled productivity. Yes!? That is my hope anyway. Of course, it is nearly 10:00 and I am still in my jammies, on the computer, sans coffee. DH is in the shower now, I'll get in and get moving as soon as he's done.

Scrapbooking Related TO DOS:
- I have LO ideas sketched for both the BH June sketch and the Rain Showers calls. I need to get those started/finished
- I have a drawer FULL of albums to get listed on ebay. I've set a goal for myself of $300 by the end of December. Yesterday I finished 2 albums; 2 2-page spreads; and did the insides for 3 other albums. :) FUN stuff! I have some paper pieced turkeys left too so I may try to crank out a Thanksgiving album this afternoon.
- Resume! I bought it several months ago and haven't gotten it moving yet.
- CLEAN up MESS.

Christmas TO DOS:
- Finalize budget for gifts and food
- Dig out Santa hat for possible Xander/Christmas photo outside in the snow today: It's warm but the snow is still stuck on the trees due to the ice storm the other day
- Wrap presents and write down what I DO HAVE. My mind can't seem to wrap itself around what's finished.
- Photograph Flying Scotsman to resell on ebay (since I won 2 of them)
- Make goodie list
- Make Thanksgiving menu (just the three of us so it shouldn't be too hard)
- Priortitize the monstrous list of things I still want to buy for Xander

Home TO DOS:
- Grocery shopping
- Put laundry away
- Start dinner
- Bills
- Balance checking
- Budget

I'm sure there is a LOT more, but that's definitely a big enough list for now!

TADA!

I decided rather than to stop blogging, I'd give myself a fresh start. Viola! Pink and a self-made banner. ;)
